Introduction days artistic research for students and teachers at Design

The research centre started the academic year with giving a three-day introduction to artistic research, to some 27 students and teachers from the Design academy at the Maastricht Institute of Arts.

Both students and teachers practiced artistic research in workshops from Ruth Benschop, Ulrike Scholtes, Marlies Vermeulen, and Ties van de Werff. From body awareness and methods for observing and documenting, to drawing as documentation technique, and the changing role of a teacher in coaching artistic research projects.

All these workshops are part of the elective education programme that the research centre offers to all art academies at Zuyd, and to external partners. An overview of workshops and lectures on offer can be found here.
